Community Calendars Featuring Green and Green-related Events:

Western North Carolina Green Building Council: is administering the NC Healthy Built Homes (HBH) program in the Greater Asheville Area.  The Green Building 101 Course Series is a set of courses that are being offered once a month through the WNCGBC to professionals.

MAIN: Mountain Area Information Network: is the portal of choice for WNC residents who want to stay connected through our calendar, local spotlights, link directories, news articles and more. MAIN also links to useful tools ranging from summer ozone alerts to winter school closings.

ASAP: Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project: is a nonprofit organization that supports farmers and rural communities in the mountains of Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachians by providing education, mentoring, promotion, web resources, and community and policy development. Their mission is to create and expand regional community-based and integrated food systems that are locally owned and controlled, environmentally sound, economically viable and health-promoting. They are also a source for information on WNC farmer's markets.

Sheville.org:   Sheville is a community magazine with specialty features such as a Community Calendar and Art, Business and Non-profits Directory. Sheville’s mission is to help create an awareness of the distinctive character and personality of our extraordinary region and to provide a supportive web environment for their readers and contributors. Sheville welcomes advertisers who share their vision.

Warren Wilson College Green Calendar:This calendar gives both regular and free classes related to environmental matters.

North Carolina Office of Environmental Education: this calendar, which is for the entire state, lists activities at environmental education centers.
